These books essentially assumes that you have no knowledge of no limit hold’em play and takes you through every step needed to be a strong tournament player. It talks about the basics odds and how you should implement them into your game, interacting with other player styles, adjusting your game due to the blind and ante structure, and provides you with ample moves to become and effective player.

If there is a downside to these books, it is that they are written primarily for tournament play, so the hands which he lays out to play are probably too tight for sit ‘n go play. If you play exactly as he prescribes, you might find yourself getting behind early too often. Thankfully, he provides a strategy for sit and go play.

These are by far the most comprehensive and well written books on no limit hold‘em tournament play. They are easy to follow, and the practice exercises drive each subject home. I would suggest that any beginning or intermediate level player who is serious about tournament or single table tournament play buy and read this series
